Privacy is part of Yukkai’s architecture, not an afterthought. Your memory stays on your Mac. Your keys stay under your control. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What stays on your Mac
- Your memory. Projects, preferences, habits and knowledge learned by Yukkai are stored locally on your Mac.
- Your keys. API keys you import (for example OpenRouter) are stored encrypted on your device.
- Your files. Yukkai works with your files where they are. Snapshots and recoverable file history are stored locally.
2. What we collect
- Whitelist and account data. When you join the whitelist we collect your name and email address, used to manage beta access and to notify you when your download is ready.
- Purchase data. If you top up the Yukkai wallet, our payment providers process your payment details; we receive confirmation of the transaction, not your full card details.
- Diagnostics. If you opt in, we may receive anonymized crash reports and basic usage diagnostics to improve the Service.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not read your local memory, files or conversations.
- We do not use invasive tracking on yukkai.com.
4. Third-party model providers
When a mission uses a cloud model, the content required for that request is sent to the corresponding provider (for example a model accessed through OpenRouter or the Yukkai Key). Each provider processes that data under its own privacy policy. Models run locally with Apple MLX process everything on your device.
5. Data retention
Whitelist data is kept for the duration of the beta program and deleted or anonymized afterwards, unless you create an account. Transaction records are kept as required by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise them, contact privacy@yukkai.com. You can also unsubscribe from whitelist emails at any time.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced in the application or by email.
