Do I need to know about AI?

No. You write what you want in your own words. The agents know how to go about it, and Quick Actions start a complete piece of work in one click.

Is it really free?

Yes. Yukkai is free with no account to create: the free AI models and Yukkai Free are available to everyone. To generate images, videos, music or voices you need the Pro subscription, a top-up or your own key, or an open-source model installed on your Mac in MLX mode.

Which Mac do I need?

A Mac running macOS 26 or later. To run AI models locally with MLX, you need a Mac with Apple silicon.

Does my data stay on my Mac?

Your conversations, files and creations are saved on your Mac, not in a Yukkai cloud. Only the information a task needs is sent to the AI model you use. The keys and passwords of your tools live in the macOS Keychain, encrypted by Apple.

Does my team work when I'm away?

Yes, as long as your Mac stays on and Yukkai is open. Agents move their missions forward, coordinate and leave you a report. Sensitive actions such as a payment, an outgoing message or a deletion always wait for your approval.

Can I use my own API key?

Yes. Add your OpenRouter key and pay the provider directly, at the price of the model you use. Yukkai Fusion and Frontier are not available with your own key.

Can I create my own agents?

Yes. Describe the role you need to Yukki: it helps you define the mission, skills and tools. You can also start from the 100 agents in the library.

How is it different from ChatGPT or Claude?
